The Mechanical Systems Engineer will collaborate within project teams to deliver a comprehensive range of mechanical engineering skills, focusing on the design of intricate analytical instrumentation systems and components tailored for field applications.

This role encompasses:

  • All aspects of mechanical design, including the development of packaging, machined, and fabricated components for vacuum and inlet assemblies, electronic enclosures, and mounting systems.
  • Active participation in prototyping and close collaboration with scientific and manufacturing teams.
  • Management of personal work schedules while ensuring project timelines are met.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A BSME/MSME degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and product development.
  • Hands-on experience with the assembly of electro-mechanical components and systems.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks; familiarity with PDM tools is advantageous.
  • Experience in thermal, fluid, and structural analysis using simulation software.
  • Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
  • Experience in collaborating with Industrial Designers.
  • Knowledge of machining practices and sheet metal design.
  • Familiarity with injection molding practices.
