Position Overview:
The Concessions Bartender plays a vital role in delivering exceptional beverage service, encompassing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. This position requires a friendly demeanor, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Consistent attendance and availability for scheduled events are essential.

Compensation:
This role offers an hourly wage of $12, with eligibility for tips.

Benefits for Part-Time Roles:
Eligible employees can participate in a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. Additionally, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit exemplary guest service, interaction with colleagues, and adherence to uniform standards.
  • Follow pre-shift bar notes and menus to ensure service quality.
  • Serve beverages in compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Acquire knowledge of various beers, wines, and spirits to effectively upsell products.
  • Pour drinks responsibly, adhering to company serving size standards.
  • Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol purchases.
  • Communicate necessary cut-off times to guests as required.
  • Address customer requests and concerns promptly.
  • Manage intoxicated guest situations professionally, involving management or security when necessary.
  • Request additional supplies or restock as needed.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling and manage the bar's cash bank.
  • Keep the work area clean and sanitary, ensuring all bar equipment is well-maintained.
  • Perform additional duties such as setting up and breaking down bar equipment and organizing inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient cash handling skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-energy environment.
  • Self-motivated while contributing to a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Completion of bartending school is preferred.
