Position Overview:

The Cocktail Server plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to guests in a vibrant hospitality environment. This position requires a blend of professionalism, attentiveness, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Uphold the highest standards of appearance as outlined in the company’s employee guidelines.
  • Proactively address and fulfill guest needs with a focus on exceptional service.
  • Present menus and provide insightful recommendations on food and beverage selections.
  • Communicate daily specials and pricing effectively to guests.
  • Inquire about any dietary restrictions or allergies to ensure guest safety.
  • Accurately input orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Facilitate the timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas and the overall venue.
  • Collaborate with team members and adhere to supervisory guidance.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the menu offerings.
  • Serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with state regulations and training standards.
  • Adhere to company protocols for bottle service.
  • Follow established cash handling and payment procedures.
  • Meet sanitation standards as set by health regulations and company policies.
  • Complete end-of-shift financial reconciliations accurately.
  • Effectively communicate guest needs to both front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
  • Prepare the cocktail lounge/bar area, including setting up and maintaining side stations.
  • Ensure lounge furniture is clean and well-maintained.
  • Set tables with appropriate settings and stock supplies as required.
  • Report any equipment or furniture damage to management promptly.
  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings and training sessions.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and lead by example through teamwork.
Training and Qualifications:
  • Completion of in-venue cocktail server training, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and Food Handling Certification.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a fast-paced food and beverage setting, ideally within a nightclub or lounge.
  • Familiarity with various liquor brands, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Must meet the legal age requirements for serving alcohol.
  • Strong communication skills and a hospitable demeanor are essential.
  • Possession of required certifications as mandated by local or state regulations.
  • Ability to accurately take and process guest orders.
  • Capability to handle split checks and calculate tips in accordance with company policy.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and move throughout the venue during shifts.
  • Physical tasks may include bending, stooping, and kneeling.
