- Present menus, respond to inquiries, and make recommendations for beverages and food items.
- Inform guests about current food and beverage specials, including pricing.
- Inquire about any allergies or dietary restrictions from each guest.
- Accurately input all orders into the point-of-sale system.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned stations and the overall venue.
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors and co-workers, demonstrating teamwork.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of all food and beverage offerings.
- Serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with state regulations and alcohol awareness training.
- Adhere to company protocols when providing bottle service.
- Follow proper cash and payment card handling procedures.
- Comply with health department and company sanitation standards.
- Complete all end-of-shift financial procedures accurately.
- Communicate guest needs to front-of-house and back-of-house staff, including managers and chefs.
- Prepare cocktail lounge/bar and side stations, performing necessary opening and closing tasks as directed by management.
- Ensure lounge furniture is clean and free of debris.
- Set tables with appropriate settings.
- Stock side stations with required supplies.
- Report any breakage or damage to management immediately.
- Participate in daily pre-shift meetings and training sessions.
- Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the company and its partners.
- Support and assist fellow team members as needed.
- Completion of in-venue cocktail server training, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and Food Handling Certification.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a fast-paced food and beverage setting, ideally in a nightclub or lounge.
- Familiarity with liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, glassware, preparation methods, and garnishments is preferred.
- Must meet state legal age requirements.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Must exhibit courtesy, pleasantness, and hospitality.
- Possession of alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state regulations.
- Able to accurately take, record, and enter guest orders using correct table and position numbers.
- Capable of calculating split check payments and tips according to policy.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Ability to handle, carry, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds (e.g., barware, carts, boxes, bottles).
- Must be able to stand and move efficiently throughout the venue during shifts.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift as necessary.
