Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective execution of all manufacturing phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely oversee all aspects of production to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or problems with equipment or personnel, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, equipment upgrades, and engineering revisions to enhance production capabilities.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to production staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintain open communication with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain Planning, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Warehouse Support, to ensure production schedules are met and inventory levels are optimized.
  • Coordinate the publication of process condition setup sheets, update process conditions, and maintain the process conditions database.
  • Produce all necessary shop floor documentation for process order production.
  • Administer training programs for new hires and long-term associates, ensuring they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and maintain acceptable quality control standards, ensuring consistent and maximum production levels.
  • Optimize staffing levels by effectively planning vacation schedules and arranging coverage as needed.
  • Minimize product loss and scrap production, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Administer performance evaluations for production staff, providing timely feedback and coaching to help them achieve their goals.
  • Monitor and maintain production supply inventories, notifying purchasing teams when restocking is required.
  • Review and correct E-Time records for production staff, ensuring accurate timekeeping.
  • Address attendance issues in accordance with company attendance policies.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors to ensure seamless shift turnover and adequate staffing.
  • Maintain the production area in a clean and organized state, adhering to housekeeping guidelines.
Requirements
  • Strong background in plastics extrusion, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing direct reports, with a broad knowledge of safety procedures and manufacturing operations.
  • Competency in computer software, including email, internet, and MS Office.
