Job Summary

Pep Boys is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles to ensure they are safe and running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection and Repair: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any issues or defects, and perform repairs to specifications.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Technical Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and techniques through ongoing training and education.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other technicians and service advisors to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair.
  • Certifications: 2 or more ASE certifications (A4 Steering and Suspension & A5 Brakes) preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance.
