Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the parts sales process from initiation to completion
  • Keep customers informed about the status of their parts
  • Engage with staff and customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Interpret the parts catalog effectively while sourcing parts
  • Handle phone inquiries, providing pricing and other relevant information
  • Review body shop estimates to ensure accurate parts ordering and pricing alignment
  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers
  • Retrieve and fulfill orders from inventory
  • Conduct weekly inventory checks to maintain stock accuracy
  • Alert the parts manager regarding out-of-stock items or urgent shop materials
  • Source out-of-stock parts from external suppliers and place emergency orders as needed
  • Ensure all internal parts requests are billed correctly on service repair orders
  • Process payments from retail customers or secure credit authorizations
  • Prepare orders for daily shipment, delivery, or collection
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in auto parts sales is preferred
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Capable of reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals
  • Proficient in performing calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
