Scheduling Coordinator Job Description

At Centers Plan for Healthy Living, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. As a Scheduling Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting clinical intake staff with clerical functions, performing planning and scheduling functions for skilled nursing services, and staffing each case appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clinical intake staff with clerical functions
  • Perform planning and scheduling functions for skilled nursing services
  • Staff each case appropriately, following guidelines set by the Director of Intake
  • Forward all pertinent intake information to COC prior to the initial visit
  • Maintain the availability list of nurses
  • Obtain and maintain information related to scheduled time off of COCs
  • Obtain a schedule of full-time COC to assure compliance with agency policies
  • Confirm COC weekend on-call schedules and report any changes to the supervisor
  • Maintain a complete and accurate scheduling log
  • Alert the Director of Intake, Patient Services Manager, and Director of Managed Care with anticipated staffing shortages
  • Collect and obtain information in delays in SOC, NTUCs, and relay such information to the appropriate parties
  • Assist with telephone and clerical duties as directed by the supervisor

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum one year office experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively multi-task
  • Computer literacy and effective typing skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some college education
  • Experience in a healthcare office setting

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Type: Hourly

Min Hiring Rate: $19.00

Max Hiring Rate: $22.00
