### Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at AdvantageCare Physicians. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

### Key Responsibilities

* Provide clinical support to healthcare providers and patients, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with medical procedures
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic and medical information
* Coordinate patient flow and ensure a smooth and efficient experience for patients
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
* Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information

### Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
* Certificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant program required or eligibility to sit for the national certification exam and pass within 18 months of hire
* Minimum 1 year experience as a medical assistant in an ambulatory care setting; 3 years experience preferred
* Ability to navigate an electronic medical record (EMR) system
