Job Overview

The Healthcare Product Strategist will engage throughout the product lifecycle, encompassing both assessment and implementation. This role is accountable for the design, development, launch, and enhancement of one or multiple healthcare products.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Champion the product by understanding defined customer requirements, market dynamics, and client expectations.
  • Identify customer challenges, target demographics, and conduct necessary primary or secondary research to substantiate customer issues.
  • Quantify customer challenges in collaboration with the analytics team.
  • Translate the product vision and roadmap provided by the Product Director into actionable tasks for Product Owners and technical teams.
  • Manage the product portfolio backlog and prioritize feature sets for the Product Owner.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to design and develop the product effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Product Director to craft the comprehensive experience for both internal and external stakeholders during evaluations.
  • Effectively communicate priorities and business value to the Product Owner.
  • Engage cross-functionally to assist in determining pricing, distribution, and marketing strategies for the product.
  • Act as the conductor for the product under management.
  • Support EPIC development, feature creation, and user stories as directed by the Product Owner.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to oversee engineering and quality assurance, ensuring the correct customer issues are addressed.
  • Possess technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise.
  • Bring healthcare or business experience to the role.
  • Work alongside the Product Owner to monitor progress towards product release and lead the go-to-market strategy.
  • Coordinate with a cross-functional team in planning product launches.
  • Accountable for identifying additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 4-7 years of experience in the healthcare sector.
  • At least 2 years of experience in product management.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant Agile experience with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies preferred.
  • A curious, creative, and strategic mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven track record in launching products that meet and exceed business goals.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to become a subject matter expert in the relevant product or market and develop solutions accordingly.
  • Excellent collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Preference for an MBA, MPH, or similar advanced degree.
  • Preference for Certified Product Manager (CPM) or equivalent certification.
  • Preference for Lean/Six Sigma certifications (e.g., Greenbelt or Blackbelt).
