Community Benefit Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Benefit Specialist to join our team at Reid Health. As a key member of our community health initiatives team, you will play a critical role in developing, coordinating, and implementing community benefit programs that promote health and wellness in our service area.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, government agencies, and healthcare providers to identify and address health needs in our service area.
- Assess and understand social and health services provided throughout the region and identify opportunities for collaboration and resource sharing.
- Create and implement community benefit programs that align with our hospital's strategic initiatives and address the health needs of our community.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community benefit programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other organizations to plan and implement community programs that promote health and wellness.
- Assist in managing and implementing the Community Health Needs Assessment process to identify health issues in our region.
- Maintain and report on community benefit program data and metrics for all necessary constituencies.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social science, applied science, health science, or health services management.
- Minimum of four years of experience in a hospital, health agency, or community service organization, with demonstrated advancement of position and responsibilities.
- Knowledge and experience in community benefit, population health, and mental health.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proficiency in public speaking.
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with a wide range of constituencies.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
