Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents in performing activities as outlined in their service plans.
  • Support residents with basic treatments as specified in service plans.
  • Help residents manage emotional health and behavioral challenges as indicated in service plans.
  • Provide additional services for residents as detailed in service plans (e.g., laundry and pet care). Note: Team members with potential risks related to pet care should consult their supervisor regarding any concerns.
  • Contribute to the development and updating of service plans by communicating current resident needs and preferences to the supervisor.
  • Monitor and report resident issues as outlined in the Observation and Reporting sections of the Personal Care Specialist Resource or service plans, and notify the LPN or Medication Tech/Aid as necessary.
  • Participate in onboarding, annual training, and team meetings as required.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Wellness Director.

Shifts Available:

  • Overnight Part-Time: 11 PM - 7 AM
  • Part-Time: 7 AM - 3 PM
  • Part-Time: 3 PM - 11 PM

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Compliance with state or provincial health-related requirements.
  • Maintain any necessary certifications as mandated by state or provincial regulations.

Physical Requirements: Candidates should be able to perform tasks including standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, grasping, manual dexterity, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and possess good vision and hearing abilities. The maximum weight a Personal Care Assistant may lift, with or without reasonable accommodations, is up to 50 lbs.

Exposure Risk: This position may involve unplanned tasks that include exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissues that may carry infectious diseases.
