Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer Analog Design Specialist to join our R&D team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating high-quality analog and mixed-signal IC circuits to implement high-performance power management products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Run extensive simulations to guarantee manufacturability of the final product.
  • Technical Peer Reviews: Conduct and actively participate in technical peer reviews to assist the team in creating effective products.
  • Layout Direction: Direct the layout team during the physical layout and approve the final implementation.
  • Parasitic Extraction: Champion post-layout parasitic extraction and final simulation prior to tape out.
  • Verification Reports: Generate verification reports to document simulation results.
  • Test Team Support: Assist the test team in understanding the product design as they develop hardware and software to test in production.
  • ATE Data Review: Participate in the review of ATE data prior to release of the product.
  • Additional Responsibilities: May include generating qualification schematics and assisting qualification and product engineering teams in the qualification and transfer to production of new products.
Requirements:
  • Education: BSEE or MSEE in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Analog or Mixed Signal design.
  • Design Experience: In-depth familiarity with transistor-level circuit design.
  • Layout Knowledge: Understanding of layout effects (e.g., matching, reliability, proximity effects).
  • Simulation Tools: Experience with tools for schematic entry, physical layout, and analog and mixed-signal simulators.
  • Cadence Tools: Experience with the Cadence tool set is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: The successful candidate will need to be a very organized and detail-oriented individual, able to work well within a team environment, and be highly motivated, innovative, and capable of driving tasks to a successful conclusion.
