Senior Transportation Engineer

We seek to recruit a senior-level professional with over 7 years of experience to join our Transportation group in our Warwick, RI office.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth engineering analysis tasks, including traffic assessments; traffic signal sequencing, phasing, and timing; traffic data gathering; technical documentation; and traffic modeling and simulation.
Develop engineering plans that encompass traffic signal design; intersection geometry, incorporating Complete Streets principles; pavement markings and signage; as well as temporary traffic control and construction staging plans.
Assist in the creation of contract documents, including plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates.Deliver technical assistance and lead various transportation-related projects.
Ensure responsive client service and maintain strong communication, both internally and externally.
Oversee and execute traffic planning and engineering analyses, alternatives analysis, and designs.
Prepare materials and participate in project-related meetings with clients, agencies, and the public.
Attend client meetings, presentations, and public hearings.
Maintain organized project documentation.
Provide technical mentorship to junior staff and assist in task delegation.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of relevant traffic/transportation experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification preferred.
Experience with traffic impact assessments, corridor studies, signal design, and signing/pavement marking.
Proficiency in CADD (AutoCAD or MicroStation), Vissim, and Synchro.
Experience with public meetings or forums preferred.
Management experience is a plus.
