Job Summary

The Process Engineer will play a key role in designing and validating manufacturing processes and equipment, utilizing sound engineering and Lean fundamentals. This position will be responsible for proposing, launching, and managing projects to improve manufacturing efficiency, with a focus on proper process documentation and change control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Develop and execute project plans, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Project, to ensure timely and effective completion of projects.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the success of projects and the safety of personnel.
  • Process Optimization: Design and implement new processes and equipment to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
  • Lean and Productivity Improvement: Drive lean and productivity improvement initiatives across the plant, utilizing tools such as Kaizen events, 5S, 8D, and root cause analysis.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance in problem-solving, utilizing statistical analysis, DOE's, and other root cause analytical tools.
  • Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain schedules for all projects assigned.
  • PPAP and Customer Qualifications: Prepare PPAP's for new products and customer qualifications.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience: 10 years of practical, hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven project management skills and experience required.
  • Lean and Six Sigma: Exposure to Lean and Six Sigma principles preferred.
