Position Overview:

Merchandising Coordinator - Modesto, CA

Job Summary:

The Merchandising Coordinator plays a crucial role in providing coordination and functional support to the Pricing and Integrity management team, offering administrative assistance in alignment with category management.

This role involves managing item retail support, overseeing new item data, handling pre-orders and promotions, preparing reports, coordinating information requests, and performing clerical tasks such as mail distribution and filing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to vendors and stores regarding vendor and product support issues.
  • Facilitate the new vendor and item implementation process.
  • Coordinate preorder information, ensuring accurate cost and retail data.
  • Process promotional information for the Marketing and Store Systems teams.
  • Manage paperwork flow for Procurement/Sourcing and Banner Departments.
  • Assist with ad proofing and editing tasks.
  • Input and transfer ad projection information.
  • Maintain the internal product code database.
  • Support the maintenance and updates of the sign database.
  • Update pricing and/or scale maintenance as needed.
  • Receive, process, and prepare invoices, reports, memos, correspondence, emails, presentations, and other documents.
  • Coordinate and maintain calendars for departmental leadership, scheduling meetings and buying shows.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Advanced coordination and administrative skills, including strong analytical abilities and intermediate proficiency in computer applications (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, necessary for interaction with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong teamwork and cooperation attributes.
  • Willingness to learn and embrace new tasks and challenges.
Education: High School diploma or GED, along with relevant experience or training.

Experience: Minimum of one year in a related role.

Other: Availability to work overtime as required.
