Job Summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Bar Manager to provide strategic leadership and direction for all beverage operations, including catering and bar outlets throughout the hotel. This is a key role that requires a strong understanding of the hospitality industry and the ability to drive business growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and Updating Beverage Menus: Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Management team to develop and implement new cocktail and liquor menus that meet the evolving tastes and preferences of our guests.
  • Inventory Control and Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and inventory of all liquor and related supplies, ensuring that we maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Staff Training and Development: Organize and lead training sessions with vendors and staff to ensure that our team members have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales.
  • Bar Operations and Maintenance: Ensure that the bar is properly set up and maintained, including the organization of equipment, supplies, and inventory.
  • Customer Service and Relations: Monitor and improve the provision of positive customer service by assigned staff, ensuring that our guests receive a world-class experience.
  • Problem-Solving and Conflict Resolution: Resolve routine problems encountered in the performance of work assignments, including issues related to customer service, inventory management, and staff performance.
  • Financial Management: Collect and manage revenue generated from bar sales, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and deposited.
  • Hotel Policies and Procedures: Maintain thorough knowledge of and correct application of all hotel policies, procedures, and practices, including those related to customer service, inventory management, and staff performance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field, with a high school diploma or equivalent required. College coursework in a related field is helpful, and previous supervisory responsibility is preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly, evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately, show initiative in job performance, and work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
