Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our team. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for wearing personal protective equipment, receiving and processing customer work orders, and preparing customer parts for coatings processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Wear Personal Protective Equipment: Wear face shields, half and/or full-face respirators, latex and nitrile gloves, leather-palmed gloves, ear protection, eye protection, steel-toed, anti-slip boots, etc. as required.
  2. Receive and Process Customer Work Orders: Use our internal tracking system to receive, process, and follow customer work orders.
  3. Prepare Customer Parts: Prepare customer parts for coatings processes, including fixturing, blasting, power washing, polishing, grinding, cleaning, and masking.
  4. Record Work: Complete work order steps and record work as required, including equipment numbers, part count verification, number of hours to complete task, initial and date, etc.
  5. Maintain Facility Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining facility cleanliness through regular inspection and cleaning of your department.
  6. Work Schedule: Work the schedule assigned to you by your department supervisor and inform supervisor when overtime threshold is approaching (over 40 hours weekly).
  7. Assist with Workload: With the permission of your direct supervisor, assist with the workload of other departments during downtime.
  8. Back-up Driver: Back-up driver for S&R department.
  9. Follow Safety and Quality Regulations: Follow all OSHA, EPA, and company safety/quality regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  1. U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident: U.S. citizenship or permanent resident (green card) required.
  2. Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED.
  3. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills/knowledge required.
  4. Shift Work: Willingness to work any shift and overtime hours as needed.
  5. Physical Demands: Must be able to work with hands and hand tools, pick-up and carry 50 lbs. daily, and stand for long periods of time on concrete warehouse floor.
  6. Attention to Detail: Attention to details and ability to follow directions is paramount.
  7. Ability to Reprioritize: Ability to reprioritize daily tasks upon the direction of management.
  8. For-Hire License: Ability to obtain For-Hire license.
  9. Forklift Experience: Forklift experience is a plus.
  10. Overhead Crane Experience: Overhead crane experience is a plus.
  11. Background and Drug Testing: All employment at IBC is conditional upon results from background and drug testing.
