Role Summary:

  • The Production Lead plays a pivotal role in supporting the Manufacturing Leader to oversee the production lines during the second shift, ensuring adherence to all operational standards.
  • Ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional communication abilities in both English and Spanish, coupled with a strong ambition to advance within the organization.
  • Preference will be given to bilingual applicants for this position.
  • In collaboration with the Manufacturing Leader, the Production Lead will facilitate the smooth operation of cereal and snack mix production lines to achieve set productivity and quality benchmarks.
  • This role involves coordinating production efforts and assisting in the delegation of tasks among team members.
  • Regular audits of Quality Assurance documentation will be conducted to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitoring equipment downtime and documenting causes will be essential, along with collaborating with operators and maintenance teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Enforcement of Plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is critical, addressing any violations as necessary.
  • Facilitating consistent communication among team members across all shifts is a key responsibility.
  • Timely reporting of safety, quality, and productivity issues is expected.
  • Completion of all necessary documentation and assistance in reporting shift performance metrics is required.
  • Identifying and supporting continuous improvement initiatives alongside the Manufacturing Leader is an important aspect of this role.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in food production is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Effective communication skills with both team members and management are essential.
  • Familiarity with Google Drive and spreadsheet applications is advantageous.
  • The ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision is necessary.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Basic math skills and comprehension of English are essential.
  • Dependability and attention to detail are crucial attributes.
  • A goal-oriented mindset focused on production output is expected.
