Position Title: Production Lead

Location: Lebanon, Indiana

Role Summary:

  • The Production Lead plays a crucial role in supporting the Manufacturing Leader in overseeing the production lines during the second shift, ensuring adherence to all operational standards.
  • Ideal candidates will exhibit strong communication abilities in both English and Spanish, demonstrating a commitment to personal and professional growth within the organization.
  • Being bilingual is highly advantageous for this position.
  • In collaboration with the Manufacturing Leader, the Production Lead will ensure the smooth functioning of the cereal and snack mix production lines to achieve productivity and quality objectives.
  • This role involves coordinating production activities and assigning tasks to team members effectively.
  • Regular audits of Quality Assurance documentation will be conducted to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitoring equipment downtime and documenting the reasons for such occurrences is essential, alongside collaborating with operators and maintenance teams to implement solutions.
  • Enforcement of Plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is critical, addressing any violations as necessary.
  • Facilitating consistent communication among team members across all shifts is a key responsibility.
  • Timely reporting of safety, quality, and productivity issues is expected.
  • Completion of all necessary documentation and assisting in the reporting of shift performance metrics is required.
  • Identifying and supporting continuous improvement initiatives alongside the Manufacturing Leader is an important aspect of this role.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in food production is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Effective communication skills with team members and management are essential.
  • Familiarity with Google Drive and spreadsheet applications is preferred.
  • The ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision is necessary.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Basic math skills and comprehension of English are essential.
  • Dependability and attention to detail are crucial attributes.
  • A goal-oriented mindset focused on production and product output is expected.
