Executive Director of Maintenance and Construction

The Executive Director of Maintenance and Construction will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility and rides maintenance and construction at Cedar Fair's theme parks. This includes ensuring the continued safety of guests and employees, developing and implementing safety procedures and policies, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Provide strategic leadership to the Maintenance and Construction Division, ensuring alignment with Cedar Fair's goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective management of the division.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a diverse and skilled team of maintenance and construction professionals.
- Safety and Compliance
- Ensure the continued safety of guests and employees by developing and implementing safety procedures and policies.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies, including OSHA and ASTM.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Facilities and Operations
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all rides, attractions, and infrastructure at Cedar Fair's theme parks.
- Develop and implement plans for the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
- Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all facilities and equipment.
- Capital Budgeting and Planning
- Develop and implement capital budgets for the Maintenance and Construction Division.
- Work with corporate finance to ensure alignment with Cedar Fair's financial goals and objectives.
- Identify and prioritize capital projects to ensure effective use of resources.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and other external partners.
- Communicate effectively with guests, employees, and stakeholders to ensure a positive and safe experience.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Experience
- At least 10 years of experience in maintenance and construction, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Skills
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective safety procedures and policies.
- Knowledge of regulatory agencies and industry standards.
