In the role of Senior Client Services Team Supervisor, you will collaborate within a team-centric atmosphere alongside Relationship Managers, Client Service Managers, custodians, and the operations division to provide a cohesive and integrated client experience. You will act as a vital resource for all service-related inquiries from CIBC Private Wealth clients. Furthermore, you will lead and manage a small team to enhance the overall client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Guide a small team of client service managers while fulfilling client service duties.
  • Identify training requirements for new team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for team members on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve issues effectively.
  • Ensure the team comprehends client service procedures and protocols.

Operational Excellence:

  • Proactively seek and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency.
  • Distribute tasks effectively among team members.
  • Address challenges by coordinating with internal partners to ensure a smooth client experience.

Client Engagement:

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of investments to assist with client requests.
  • Deliver exceptional, personalized service to Private Wealth Management clients.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new accounts, including funding and cost basis input.
  • Manage client transactions and inquiries accurately and promptly.
  • Address general account inquiries and maintenance requests efficiently.
  • Investigate and resolve client issues through effective communication with clients and internal departments.
  • Prepare materials for client presentations and meetings.
  • Support the training of junior staff as needed.
  • Assist the team in meeting deadlines for client accounts.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and escalation point for the team.
  • Report any compliance issues identified within the team.

Project Management:

  • Engage in ad-hoc projects aimed at process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Fidelity, Schwab platforms, and SEI is advantageous.
  • At least 7 years of experience in client services, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced business and technological landscape.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple responsibilities accurately in a high-pressure environment.
  • Exemplary leadership and teamwork skills.
