About This Opportunity

Tall Grass Animal Hospital is seeking a highly organized and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our clients and their pets.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and place calls to clients for the purpose of scheduling appointments and communicating important information.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm and organized manner to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and pet records, including medical history and referral documentation.
  • Assist clients with their needs, providing clear and concise information, and ensuring they understand their pet's treatment and care.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the hospital, including collecting payments, handling cash and credit card transactions, and maintaining accurate balances.
  • Utilize our hospital's computer systems to document medical records, communicate with clients and staff, and manage scheduling.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating empathy and compassion towards clients and their pets.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a veterinary or medical office setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and veterinarians.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in software applications, including Microsoft Office and veterinary practice management systems.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
