About This Opportunity

Rising Sun Animal Care is a full-service animal hospital dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care to dogs and cats. We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and place calls to clients to schedule appointments and remind them of upcoming services.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm and organized manner to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain accurate client and pet records, including referral documentation and medical history.
  • Assist clients with information, invoices, and prescription items, and schedule future appointments.
  • Utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates.
  • Manage the financial needs of the hospital by maintaining accurate balances and following cash and credit card handling procedures.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and teammates.
  • Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures.
  • Flexible schedule including some weekend and vacation shifts.
  • Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Possession of organizational skills and critical thinking abilities.
