We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Jasper Animal Hospital. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our veterinarians and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and place calls to clients for the purpose of scheduling appointments and communicating with clients regarding their pets' care.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm and organized manner, ensuring that all administrative duties are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and pet records, including medical history, vaccination records, and treatment plans.
  • Assist clients with their pets' needs, providing information and instructions as needed, and ensuring that all clients are satisfied with the level of care provided.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the hospital, including collecting payments, handling cash and credit card transactions, and maintaining accurate balances.
  • Utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records, communicate with clients and teammates, and manage administrative tasks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Advocate for pets by educating clients on preventative care, pet health needs, and treatment recommendations.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and provide a welcoming environment for clients and their pets.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a veterinary or medical office setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
