Position Overview

SSOE Group is seeking a Process Engineer to contribute to our dynamic team. This role involves supporting local clientele while also providing virtual assistance to project teams across various locations. The selected candidate will engage in projects from the initial stages through to construction, focusing on the development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), process calculations, and the selection and specification of equipment during the early phases of our initiatives, continuing to offer support throughout the construction phase.

Daily Tasks May Include:

Utilizing sound engineering methodologies, this role will support clients within the chemical sector. The following responsibilities are typical for this position but are not exhaustive:
  • Leading engineering analyses, drafting reports, and completing engineering calculations.
  • Developing PFDs and P&IDs, conducting process calculations, and specifying equipment.
  • Providing oversight and verification of process deliverables.
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams to fulfill necessary project tasks.
  • Assisting in the preparation of bid packages.
  • Conducting fieldwork to support the aforementioned responsibilities.
Essential Qualifications

Requirements for Consideration:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, qualifying for licensure in the relevant state.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in chemical plants or similar industrial environments is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with chemical simulation software, such as ChemCAD or Aspen.
  • Experience with Pipe Flo or AFT Fathom is advantageous.
  • Ability to engage in client-facing roles while collaborating with contractors and vendors.
  • Knowledge of building codes and chemical storage regulations.
  • Experience with utility system equipment and distribution networks.
  • Familiarity with industrial wastewater treatment is a plus.
  • Compensation Range: $80,000-$100,000/year, based on location, education, experience, and relevant certifications.
