Role Overview:
The primary objective of this position is to serve as a technical expert, guiding and supporting the operations team in enhancing environmental health and safety (EH&S), productivity, product quality, supply reliability, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Optimize Operations:** Drive improvements in plant operations and cultivate a high-performing operations team.
2. **Technical Expertise:** Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant process technologies, equipment, and control systems.
3. **Continuous Improvement:** Employ troubleshooting and continuous improvement methodologies to resolve production challenges effectively.
4. **Collaboration:** Work closely with plant personnel to align operations with business objectives, including production, cost, and quality targets.
5. **Root Cause Analysis:** Lead and participate in thorough investigations to identify and prevent the recurrence of unplanned events.
6. **EHS&S Compliance:** Ensure a thorough understanding of Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety policies, translating them into actionable practices within the plant.
7. **Project Management:** Scope and implement small-scale projects aligned with your area of responsibility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of Corteva's Student Co-Op Engineering Program.
- Proven leadership and coaching abilities.
- Strong desire to engage with the operations team to understand challenges from their perspective.
- Commitment to technical excellence and a high degree of ownership.
