Role Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in technical analysis and high-level engineering calculations. The ideal candidate will excel in producing technical reports and addressing a range of engineering challenges within the chemical and related sectors. This role requires the ability to work autonomously while delivering precise and effective outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct various technical analyses and calculations tailored to client requirements.
  2. Engage with clients to ascertain specific needs and expectations.
  3. Create and modify technical drawings, including vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, and piping models.
  4. Identify deficiencies and propose enhancements for industrial equipment and systems.
  5. Develop engineering specifications for pumps, vessels, ventilation systems, and coordinate with vendors as necessary.
  6. Provide mechanical support across other engineering disciplines.
  7. Travel locally and overnight as required.
  8. Ensure work produced is accurate, timely, and comprehensive.
  9. Maintain accurate records of time and work performed for client billing purposes.
  10. Adhere to all client safety protocols while on-site.
  11. Collaborate with Lead Engineers, Project Managers, and client counterparts to guarantee safe and timely project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the petrochemical sector or related fields.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to engineering timelines.
  • Willingness to work beyond standard hours to meet client deadlines.
  • Familiarity with the interpretation and application of relevant Codes and Standards such as ASME, API, and NFPA.
  • Self-motivated with a strong capacity to work independently and achieve results.
  • Experience with software tools such as Caesar and Compress is advantageous.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is a plus.
