Role Summary:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in technical analysis and high-level engineering calculations. The ideal candidate will be adept at crafting technical reports and addressing various engineering challenges within the chemical and related sectors. This role requires a self-motivated individual capable of delivering precise and effective outcomes with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct a variety of technical analyses and calculations based on client requirements.
  2. Engage with clients to ascertain specific needs and expectations.
  3. Create and modify technical drawings, including vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, and piping models.
  4. Identify deficiencies and propose enhancements for industrial equipment and systems.
  5. Develop engineering specifications for pumps, vessels, ventilation systems, and other equipment, liaising with vendors as necessary.
  6. Provide mechanical support across various engineering disciplines.
  7. Occasional travel may be required for project needs.
  8. Ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and complete work products.
  9. Maintain meticulous records of time and work performed for client billing purposes.
  10. Adhere to all client safety protocols while on-site.
  11. Collaborate with Lead Engineers, Project Managers, and client representatives to ensure the safe and efficient execution of projects.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the petrochemical industry or a related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to engineering and project timelines.
  • Willingness to work beyond standard hours to meet client deadlines.
  • Familiarity with the interpretation and application of relevant Codes and Standards, including ASME, API, and NFPA.
  • Self-starter with a strong capacity for independent work and achieving results.
  • Experience with software tools such as Caesar and Compress is advantageous.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is a plus.
