Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Sanderling Resort. As a key member of our kitchen staff, the Executive Sous Chef will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of all food and beverages, as well as managing the culinary team to ensure exceptional quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of all food and beverages to ensure exceptional quality and presentation.
  • Manage the culinary team to ensure efficient and effective operation of the kitchen.
  • Develop and implement new menu items and specials to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other department heads to develop and implement culinary strategies and initiatives.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of food and supplies to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Develop and implement training programs for culinary staff to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and control labor costs to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Sous Chef in a high-volume hospitality environment.
  • Proven track record of success in managing culinary teams and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients, with the ability to develop and implement new menu items and specials.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to monitor and control labor costs and inventory levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other department heads.
