- Plan and coordinate menus with the Executive Chef to ensure a diverse and appealing range of options.
- Determine the time and sequence of cooking operations to meet meal serving hours and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and service.
- Review menus and analyze recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
