Job Description

As a Fitness Studio Operations Leader, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and directing the sales and personal training teams within our facilities. This essential position requires a comprehensive understanding of sales strategies and operational excellence. As the primary leader for the sales department, you will implement lead generation and marketing strategies aimed at boosting fitness program sales while promoting the health and wellness advantages of a healthy lifestyle. This role demands a high-caliber approach to coaching and staff development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively manage and surpass all sales and operational budgets.
  • Lead and coordinate initial and ongoing sales initiatives (pre-sale events, studio events, outreach).
  • Oversee the sales processes and systems.
  • Manage, mentor, and evaluate the performance of all related managers and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies for daily studio operations.
  • Supervise the hiring, training, and scheduling of all studio personnel.
  • Responsible for recruiting and onboarding new employees.
  • Optimize class sizes through effective scheduling.
  • Foster a high-energy culture through contests and incentive-based motivation.
  • Model all studio activities through active participation.
  • Train and mentor team members for ongoing success and future advancement.
  • Ensure brand consistency and continuity in all actions.
  • Empower and evaluate the responsibilities of the sales and fitness teams.
  • Manage disciplinary actions involving studio employees.
  • Meet performance metrics, including revenue, inventory, payroll, and facilities maintenance.
  • Direct sales efforts through required outreach programs.


OPERATIONAL DUTIES:

  • Conduct annual performance reviews for staff.
  • Enforce corporate policies, business practices, systems, and processes.
  • Ensure adherence to front desk systems, including member check-in, inquiries, guest registration, cash handling, and customer care.
  • Deliver the highest level of customer service.
  • Make effective decisions regarding customer service issues.
  • Plan and promote monthly special events using effective outreach and community involvement strategies.
  • Ensure the facility is clean, well-maintained, and operationally sound.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven sales leadership experience is required.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills to create a positive environment for staff and clients.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience is required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of management experience, including staff management from hiring to termination.
  • Previous management experience in the health and fitness sector is strongly recommended.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and professional demeanor.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to multitask and manage client and staff concerns effectively.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in business or a related field with 3+ years of management experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexible to work various hours as needed.
  • A passion for health and fitness is strongly preferred.


COMPENSATION:

Salary plus commission.
