Branch Operations Leader
Overview:
Gulfeagle Supply is on the lookout for a motivated leader ready to elevate their career in management. As one of the leading Building Material Distributors in the industry, Gulfeagle actively promotes the development of its personnel and is recognized for its family-oriented values. In this position, the Branch Operations Leader will assist the Branch Manager in guiding, managing, and ensuring accountability across all operational facets of the branch, guaranteeing that our customers receive the highest quality products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee production cycle times, raw material inventory, and track operational objectives while maintaining labor and expense targets, delivery schedules, and supervising hourly staff.
- Ensure compliance with O.S.H.A. and D.O.T regulations and provide training when necessary.
- Implement and manage all sales credit and administration policies as established by the Director of Financial Services affecting both inside and outside sales.
- Ensure orders are placed for the quantities necessary to maintain inventory within appropriate warehouse sales volumes and/or to meet direct shipment requirements.
- Assist the Branch Manager in coordinating operations and control departments, including the sales office.
- Act as an inside salesperson to handle counter sales and customer phone inquiries, pulling orders as needed.
- Help maintain operating expenses within budgeted standards.
- Ensure timely completion of all office paperwork and work to resolve any procedural issues.
- Guarantee that the sales counter is always staffed to assist walk-in customers.
- Address all customer complaints and issues promptly, including delivery pricing or disputes.
- Support the Branch Manager in establishing and implementing facility security procedures.
- Adhere to company policies regarding the safeguarding of customer cash payments made to the branch.
- Strong professional communication skills (both verbal and written) when interacting with customers, vendors, management, and team members.
- 2-5 years of experience in wholesale roofing supplies (or a similar environment) in a middle management role.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
- Proven ability to effectively staff, manage, and motivate personnel.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with experience in conflict resolution.
- Proficient in operating a PC and related software.
- Highly organized and efficient in prioritizing workload.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field.
