Overview

As a Retail Operations Leader, you will oversee the comprehensive management of store functions to enhance sales performance while embodying the core values of Burlington. Your role will involve mentoring and guiding your team members, fostering a collaborative environment with associates across various branches. You will exemplify exceptional customer service, ensuring a premier shopping experience for all patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage and supervise Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Store Associates to ensure adherence to company policies and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Managers to ensure that team members fulfill their designated roles effectively.
  • Work alongside the Merchandising team to strategize merchandise placement, promotional activities, and pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate with the Operations team to oversee inventory accuracy, including receiving, transfers, and returns.
  • Manage a substantial sales volume and budget, ensuring meticulous reporting and record-keeping.
  • Lead recruitment and hiring processes to meet staffing requirements for the store.
  • Facilitate onboarding and continuous training for new hires, providing ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Address personnel and associate relations matters with professionalism.
  • Oversee payroll management, workforce scheduling, and budget compliance.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration between store teams and regional management.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Retail Management within a Big Box or Specialty retail environment. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, including availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency in computerized scheduling and reporting systems is required. Occasional travel may be necessary.
