Job Overview:
The President & CEO role at Alabama Ag Credit presents a unique opportunity to lead an organization committed to the advancement of agriculture and rural development.

The President & CEO will work collaboratively with the Association Board of Directors and the Leadership Team to further the mission and objectives of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Cultivate a strong organizational culture and actively manage the association's mission and values.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to establish strategic priorities for long-term success.
- Ensure effective communication with the Board to maintain comprehensive knowledge of the association's operations.

- Assess the short and long-term needs of the Association, directing programs and initiatives accordingly.

- Provide strategic direction across finance, technology, human resources, operations, and market engagement.

- Develop and oversee a robust marketing and business development strategy, ensuring a quality loan portfolio.


Collaboration:
- Foster professional relationships with key stakeholders, including the Farm Credit System and related entities.
- Represent the Association in the community and carry out public relations duties.
- Serve as a liaison with other Farm Credit organizations to promote collaborative efforts.

Financial and Operational Management:
- Lead the strategic and annual business planning processes in conjunction with the Board of Directors.
- Establish and maintain internal controls and credit policies to safeguard assets and manage risk.
- Ensure financial stability by adhering to budgetary constraints while delivering sound credit services.
- Oversee management development and succession planning to maintain operational efficiency.
Compliance and Communication:
- Inspire a culture of professionalism, engagement, and mutual respect within the organization.
- Promote the association as a leader in agricultural finance and community engagement.
- Act as a spokesperson for the association at various events and legislative hearings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Agricultural Economics, or a related field; advanced education preferred.
- Over 10 years of successful leadership experience, particularly in team building and talent development.
- Experience in agricultural lending is preferred.
- Proven track record in strategic thinking and implementing organizational strategies.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for evaluating alternatives and developing innovative solutions.

- Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders effectively.

- Familiarity with financial statements and reports is crucial; experience within the Farm Credit System is advantageous.
