Position Overview: The Construction Site Manager plays a pivotal role in managing the operations of a construction site, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently from inception to completion. This role encompasses daily scheduling, supervision of all activities, and the enforcement of safety and compliance standards on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of contractor and subcontractor operations to verify adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including representatives from various organizations.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive site logistics plan in collaboration with Project Managers.
  • Perform quality and safety inspections regularly.
  • Assume the role of Site Safety Officer during the project.
  • Coordinate testing and inspection activities on-site.
  • Monitor project costs, including labor and materials.
  • Manage employee schedules effectively.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports as required.
  • Participate actively in all project meetings, including those with subcontractors.
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings to promote a culture of safety.
  • Execute other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED; a degree from a Community College, Trade School, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a supervisory role within commercial construction.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with construction management software is a plus.
  • Experience with government projects is highly desirable.
  • Possession of a General Contractor (GC) License and Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification is preferred.
  • Prior military experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of project drawings, specifications, and contract terms is essential.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification and First Aid/CPR certification are required.

  • Strong management skills with the capability to oversee multiple teams across various projects.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Adept at delegating tasks to Site Supervisors.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism on-site.
  • Competence in supervising diverse trades while ensuring quality control across government construction projects.

Physical Demands: This role requires medium to heavy physical exertion. Candidates must be capable of moving objects and using abdominal and lower back muscles for support over extended periods. Regular movement and dexterity are necessary, along with the ability to lift weights as specified.

Work Environment: The position involves working around moving mechanical parts and in outdoor conditions that may include inclement weather. Noise levels can be high at times.
