Position Overview

As the Operations Shift Supervisor at ENGIE, you will oversee and guide the Operations Department and other personnel to ensure the facility operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all corporate policies and environmental regulations. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Possession of a valid CFC-2 and CFC-3 license, or a CFC-universal license is necessary.
  • A valid Commonwealth of Massachusetts Second Class Engineer's License is essential.
  • Ability to work both indoors within the plant and outdoors on facility grounds or at various locations.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including relief, off-shift, and emergency coverage as needed, on a rotating shift basis.
  • Experience in directing shift operators in the management of high-pressure boilers, combustion turbine generators, steam turbine generators, chillers, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the plant and distribution systems, including underground tunnels and electrical power systems, while maintaining logs and records through the plant's computer system.
  • Train shift personnel on safety protocols, equipment usage, and operational procedures, while supporting corporate and plant training initiatives.
  • Adhere to all safety codes and practices, ensuring compliance with recognized standards and legal regulations, including participation in emergency response efforts.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Additional Information
  • This position requires daily attendance at the worksite.
  • Domestic travel may be required up to 5% of the time.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license is required, with the potential to operate a company vehicle.
  • Compliance with ENGIE's ethics and safety policies is mandatory.
  • This role involves approximately 25% outdoor work, exposing the employee to various weather conditions.
  • Obtaining a Second-Class Industrial Wastewater Treatment license may be necessary.
  • Personal protective equipment will be required in areas with potential hazards, including loud noise and airborne particles.
  • Physical demands may include repetitive bending, climbing, and lifting, as well as working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively is essential.
Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Rate: $43.94 to $64.25 USD

This range represents the average expected pay for qualified candidates. Actual salary may vary based on geography, experience, education, and other legitimate factors.
