RN - CMC Emergency Services - Per Diem - 12 Hour - Variable Shift

As a Registered Nurse with John Muir Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Emergency Services department. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our team on a per diem basis, working 12-hour variable shifts.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional patient care: Utilize evidence-based practices and relevant patient care models to create a compassionate healing environment, ensuring interdisciplinary collaboration and fostering professional growth and satisfaction.
- Coordinate and delegate care: Assume responsibility and accountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame, utilizing the John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, ANA's Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act.
- Develop and implement care plans: Use the nursing process and the environment and technology to create individualized care plans, in partnership and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
- Manage patient flow: Function competently in the flow and resource roles, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
- Lead and support team members: Assume the role of a relief charge nurse, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
- Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- Experience: 6 Months Nursing - Acute Care Preferred, 2000 hours Nursing - Emergency Must be Obtained within last 3 years - Core Requirement
- Certifications/Licensures: RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing Required, BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required, ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association Non-Core Requirement, PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support - American Heart Association Required prior to completion of orientation to the assigned area or ENPC Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course - Emergency Nurses Association Required prior to completion of orientation to the assigned area
- Skills: Demonstrates competency to manage the entire spectrum of care for patients receiving conscious sedation, including but not limited to nerve blocks and cardioversion, Demonstrates competency to triage, Demonstrates competency to manage precipitous deliveries and care for the mother and newborn post-delivery, Demonstrates competency to stabilize critically ill patients prior to disposition, including but not limited to acute stroke (thromboembolic and hemorrhagic), acute STEMI, Sepsis, and respiratory distress
Variable mid shift 11-23, 12-00, 13-01, 15-03
Pay and Benefits:$104.97 Hourly
Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
