RN - CMC Emergency Services - Per Diem - 12 Hour - Variable

John Muir Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Manage Emergency Situations: Respond to emergency situations, including cardiac arrests, strokes, and other life-threatening conditions, using your expertise and critical thinking skills.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Document patient information, treatment plans, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: 6 months of acute care experience preferred; 2000 hours of emergency nursing experience within the last 3 years required.
- Certifications/Licensures: RN registered nursing license in California; BLS basic life support certification; ACLS advanced cardiac life support certification (non-core requirement); PALS pediatric advanced life support certification or ENPC emergency nurse pediatric course certification required prior to completion of orientation.
- Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Time Management and Prioritization: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
12-hour per diem night shifts available. Competitive hourly rate: $104.97. Note: Positions at JMH that are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
