RN - CMC Emergency Services - Per Diem - 12 Hour - Variable Shift

As a Registered Nurse with John Muir Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Emergency Services department. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our team on a per diem basis, working 12-hour variable shifts.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional patient care: Utilize evidence-based practices and relevant patient care models to create a compassionate healing environment, ensuring interdisciplinary collaboration and fostering professional growth and satisfaction.
- Coordinate and provide care: Manage the entire spectrum of care for patients receiving conscious sedation, including nerve blocks and cardioversion, and demonstrate competency to triage, manage precipitous deliveries, and stabilize critically ill patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: Work in partnership with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
- Meet education and experience requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; 6 months of acute care experience preferred; 2000 hours of nursing experience in emergency services within the last 3 years required.
- Certifications and licensures: RN registered nursing license in California required; BLS basic life support certification required; ACLS advanced cardiac life support certification non-core requirement; PALS pediatric advanced life support certification required prior to completion of orientation.
- Skills and competencies: Demonstrated competency to manage the entire spectrum of care for patients receiving conscious sedation, including nerve blocks and cardioversion; ability to triage, manage precipitous deliveries, and stabilize critically ill patients.
Our Emergency Services department is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. As a per diem RN, you will work variable shifts, including 12-hour days, and be expected to provide high-quality care to patients and their families.
