John Muir Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Services department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure patient-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and excellence in care.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- 6 months of nursing experience in acute care preferred.
- 2000 hours of nursing experience in emergency care required, obtained within the last 3 years.
- Current RN licensure in California required.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- PALS certification required prior to completion of orientation.
- ENPC certification required prior to completion of orientation.
- Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test required.
- NHSS certification required.
- Demonstrated competency in managing conscious sedation, triage, and precipitous deliveries.
- Ability to stabilize critically ill patients and manage acute stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and respiratory distress.
- Experience in flow and resource roles.
- Ability to assume the role of a relief charge nurse.
Variable mid-shift schedule, including 11-23, 12-00, 13-01, and 15-03.
Pay and Benefits$104.97 hourly rate, with opportunities for growth and advancement.
