Job Summary

As a District Sales Manager at MiTek, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and adoption of MiTek Solutions within your assigned district. You will utilize consultative selling methods to educate customers on the use of off-site components, establish contact with stakeholders and professionals, and stay informed on market dynamics, codes, and product issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Profitably grow existing accounts and establish new accounts to achieve assigned sales objectives under the guidance of a Regional Sales Manager.
  • Develop a sales plan with specific and measurable sales objectives that support the overall company objectives and strategy.
  • Collaborate with other district sales managers to drive sales and adoption of components and builders' products within the district.
  • Maintain a market development database that includes key accounts and prospects, builders, framers, engineers, and building officials within the district.
  • Develop and maintain a report that tracks current and new business within the Four MiTek Pillars while monitoring growth and businesses in jeopardy.
  • Contact and educate engineers and other design professionals, builders, framers, and building officials within the residential and commercial markets to ensure builders' products are accepted and specified throughout the district.
  • Promote the organization as a company of people, service, and product while prioritizing profitability and expense management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • 1-2 years of sales or home building and/or residential construction industry experience required.
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office applications.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required.
  • 70% 2-3 weeks per month of travel within the district, with occasional trips out of district as needed.

Physical Demands

This role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone, and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role. This role may require access to areas within the building that are undergoing renovations, which may contain job site hazards. Occasionally, this role will require pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, and moving up to 25 pounds.
