Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven District Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for profitably growing existing accounts and establishing new accounts to achieve assigned sales objectives. You will work closely with our Regional Sales Manager to develop a sales plan that supports our overall company objectives and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve assigned sales objectives, including identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with other district sales managers to drive sales and adoption of components and builders' products within the district.
  • Work closely with Corporate Account Managers to develop business development programs for key national accounts within the district.
  • Maintain a market development database that includes key accounts, prospects, builders, framers, engineers, and building officials within the district.
  • Develop and maintain a report that tracks current and new business within the Four MiTek Pillars, monitoring growth and businesses in jeopardy.
  • Regularly obtain and develop knowledge of the district, including market pricing, code and product issues, distributors, dealers, component manufacturers, commercial accounts, and other relevant information.
  • Promote the organization as a company of people, service, and product, prioritizing profitability and expense management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • 1-2 years of sales or home building and/or residential construction industry experience required.
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required.
  • 70% travel within the district, with occasional trips out of district as needed.

Physical Demands

This role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone, and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role. This role may require access to areas within the building that are undergoing renovations, which may contain job site hazards. Occasionally, this role will require pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, and moving up to 25 pounds.
