Staff Accountant

**Job Summary**
System One is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing payroll processing, general ledger reconciliations, and supporting accounts payable.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Payroll Processing: Manage bi-weekly payroll for 140 employees using ADP. Ensure payroll compliance with federal and state regulations. Address payroll inquiries and enter wage garnishments. Manage 401K reconciliation and audit compliance. Reconcile payroll deposits, taxes, and deductions; prepare payroll journal entries. Review and distribute W-2s.
- General Accounting Support: Assist with month-end close procedures, journal entries, and reconciliations. Support audits with necessary documentation. Enhance accounting processes for efficiency.
- Accounts Payable Support: Assist with invoice verification and processing. Provide backup during peak times or absences.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
- Experience in accounts payable and payroll/HRIS software.
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
