Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management:
Administer bi-weekly payroll for a workforce of 140 employees utilizing ADP. Ensure adherence to federal and state payroll regulations. Respond to payroll-related inquiries and manage wage garnishments. Oversee 401K reconciliation and ensure compliance during audits. Reconcile payroll deposits, taxes, and deductions while preparing payroll journal entries. Review and distribute W-2 forms.
General Accounting Assistance:
Support month-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations. Provide necessary documentation for audits. Continuously seek to improve accounting processes for greater efficiency.
Accounts Payable Assistance:
Facilitate invoice verification and processing. Offer support during peak periods or staff absences.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience. Familiarity with payroll processing and tax regulations. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP). Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail. Capacity to maintain confidentiality. Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is advantageous. Experience in accounts payable and payroll/HRIS software. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
