Overview

The Strada Education Foundation is in search of a seasoned and strategic executive to lead our mission of enhancing the affordability of postsecondary education at the institutional level. As the Vice President of Institutional Affordability Initiatives (VP-IAI), you will be pivotal in crafting and implementing strategies that empower institutions to address the financial challenges faced by students from varied socioeconomic backgrounds. Your proficiency in institutional financial aid, enrollment strategies, and fiscal decision-making will be essential in propelling initiatives that promote affordability and foster student achievement.

Reporting Structure

You will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Affordability (SVP) and will be a vital member of the Postsecondary Education (PSE) team, collaborating to realize Strada's ambitious vision. Our strategic framework is centered around creating an equitable education and training ecosystem that opens doors to opportunities for all learners. In your role as VP-IAI, you will significantly influence our Affordability strategic pillar, ensuring that institutions are well-equipped to meet the financial needs of students, thereby enhancing their pathways to success, including employment and economic advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development and Execution (20%): Formulate, prioritize, and implement strategic initiatives aimed at improving institutional affordability in postsecondary education. Stay informed on institutional policies and innovations related to affordability.
  • Partnership Management (30%): Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in higher education, including institutions and policymakers, to advance affordability initiatives.
  • Project Coordination (30%): Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage projects and achieve organizational objectives related to affordability.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (20%): Promote an inclusive workplace culture by engaging in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, ensuring that these values are integrated into all aspects of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in social science, education, public policy, or a related field preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in postsecondary institutions or related sectors, with a focus on financial aid and enrollment management.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement institutional affordability strategies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $170,000 and $210,000 annually, complemented by an annual bonus. The compensation package is based on national benchmarks and may vary based on individual qualifications and experience.

Travel Requirements

This role may require occasional nationwide travel (10-15%) for presentations and participation in various initiatives.
