Position Overview
The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) is in search of a proactive and seasoned operations executive to take on the role of Executive Vice President of Operations.

This role involves working closely with the leadership team and staff to synchronize and direct the organizational and membership operations in alignment with the ASPPH Vision 2030 strategic framework.

ASPPH aspires to a future where all individuals thrive in communities supported by the efforts of well-prepared public health professionals.

Key Responsibilities

The Executive Vice President of Operations will report directly to the President & CEO and will lead a skilled team across various functional areas, including finance, membership development, and event management.

As a strategic ally to the President, the Executive Vice President will contribute to vital strategic and operational objectives, such as organizational effectiveness, innovation, and fostering a sense of belonging.

This leader will play a crucial role in numerous ASPPH initiatives, significantly influencing the organization's trajectory and achievements.

Strategic Leadership
• Oversee the formulation, planning, and execution of the ASPPH strategic plan and budget.
• Ensure that daily operations are responsive and advancing the Strategic Vision 2030.
• Actively participate as a member of the ASPPH leadership team and facilitate its initiatives.
• Embody and promote ASPPH’s culture and values in all interactions.

Membership Engagement
• Spearhead initiatives to attract and retain institutional members while ensuring the relevance of services and programs.
• Manage membership networking and engagement opportunities, including annual gatherings and retreats, ensuring they are innovative and pertinent.

Operational Excellence
• Direct the association's internal operational and financial processes, overseeing day-to-day functions.
• Supervise business operations, including finance, human resources, and grants management.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with professional associations, businesses, and vendors.

Qualifications
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to ASPPH's mission and bring a diverse range of experiences, including:
• A minimum of ten years in senior leadership roles, preferably within non-profit organizations.
• Proven strategic thinking capabilities to develop opportunities that advance the Association's mission.
• Experience in fostering a cohesive work environment and guiding staff efforts.
• Demonstrated success in leading initiatives and managing projects to achieve strategic goals.
