About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join our team at Hajoca Corporation. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to walk-in customers at our sales counters.

  • Provide sales and support to customers, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain, stock, and clean the sales area, including merchandise and displays.
  • Assist customers with purchases and returns, and process sales orders accurately.
  • Provide customers with reliable information regarding product specifications, pricing, and availability.
  • Ensure security and control at the sales counter.
  • Communicate with the Profit Center Manager and Credit Manager regarding customer credit risks.
  • Process cash sale returns and refund paperwork in accordance with company policy.
  • Inform the Profit Center Manager of inventory levels or stock depletions that could impact customer service.
  • Assist co-workers in servicing customers, including answering calls and stocking merchandise.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service or counter sales, preferably in a contractor sales environment.
  • Knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Outstanding customer service, verbal communication, and listening skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of products and the ability to suggest associated products for purchase.
  • The ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • The ability to ask probing questions to understand customer needs and overcome objections.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
  • The ability to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment and hand tools.
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • The ability to learn and operate computer-related systems used to process orders.
