The Client Relations Manager will be responsible for ensuring their team's technical proficiency remains at the forefront of client and business relationships, effectively marketing our innovative project solutions.

This position is highly visible both internally and externally, requiring collaboration with large and complex client organizations to address their unmet needs through a strategic approach to problem-solving and a commitment to generating innovative ideas.

Join a team focused on expanding our municipal engineering water services practice. Annual sales targets typically range from $5M to $8M.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow client accounts to promote the full range of services offered by Woodard & Curran.
  • Provide expert consultation to clients and project teams.
  • Prepare comprehensive proposals, presentations, and budget estimates.
  • Negotiate service delivery terms.
  • Maintain account relationships to foster revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with our Marketing team to develop service offerings and positioning materials.
  • Participate in sales meetings and ensure timely invoicing and collection of overdue accounts.
  • Be externally focused, facilitating connections for senior and technical staff.
  • Identify opportunities early to allow teams to prepare for work.
  • Attend conferences and workshops to strengthen existing relationships and establish new client connections.
  • Demonstrate a desire to serve and lead in a dynamic team environment.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the account management team.

What you need to succeed:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in market execution and management.
  • A bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Proven experience in selling to various executive and operational functions within public sector clients, including engineering, environmental health & safety, sustainability, operations, and procurement.
  • Ability to identify, lead, and engage in business development and proposal efforts.
  • A strong desire to grow an organization and the capability to inspire others.
  • Understanding of the business development cycle related to consulting, including opportunity identification, proposal development, and presentation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel within California to client and company facilities up to 50% of the time.
  • Open to remote work arrangements.

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $160,000 - $230,000 annually, with final compensation based on experience and geographic considerations.
