Job Summary

4LEAF, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Public Works Construction Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and providing expert guidance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead pre-construction activities, including chairing pre-construction meetings and reviewing contract requirements.
  • Evaluate change order requests, process RFIs, and review pay estimates to ensure accurate project costs.
  • Enforce contract requirements, interpret specifications and drawings, and mitigate potential cost and schedule impacts.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, including clients and project team members.
  • Collaborate with project team members to ensure seamless project execution and timely completion.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and provide guidance to project team members.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience as a Public Works Construction Manager, with a strong background in project management and construction oversight.
  • Registration as a CA Civil Engineer or a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Caltrans regulations and experience with state-and federally-funded projects.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, stand for long periods, and work in adverse weather conditions.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range of $145,000 to $175,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Work Environment
  • Full-time, 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and on-the-road work.
  • Driver's license preferred.
